This kit was put together to help steady light backyard items from moving in windstorms. The ratchets are rated at 500 lbs. Working Load Limit, WLL and a 1,500 lbs. Break Strength. The product was never wind tunnel tested because of the following unknown’s, ALL which would change or limit the strength and hold down force.
1. The size of the item it was trying to secure.
A. Cubic Feet unknown
B. Flat Sided, Open Sided or just a Roof item
C. Weight of item
D. Type of soil the Screw Auger Anchors are secured in, Sand, Clay, Hard Packed Dirt. This being one of the hardest requirements to control and how the user prepares and installs the Auger Anchors in the ground.
Summary/Short Answer, We do not have Testing and Certification Documentation to provide Wind Tunnel Testing or Hold Down Force.
