The Wireless Remote Switch for the KU, KV, KW Winches & KT4000 Winch allows the user to operate the winch at a distance up to 100 ft. away. This provides a much safer winching experience while also maximizing the power of the winch.
- Recommended for KU, KV, KW Winches & KT4000 winch
- 5 prong connector
- Operate up to 100 ft. away
- Power In and Power Out control
- Safer operation
- 1632 3V Lithium Battery
The KTA14126 is the wireless controllers and receiver unit only, for winches that already have the socket plug.
The short Harness Socket w/Cover, for all KU, KV, & KW's (KWR17036) may say 7 pin socket but only 5 are drilled and only 4 are wired. Will work with KTA14126 wireless remote switch.
KX9500, KX9500S, KX9500E, KX9500ES & KX9500EH attached instructions below.
Q: Will a second wireless remote on another winch interfere with another?
A: The wireless remotes are coded to only work with the receiver that they are shipped with and there are a lot of different codes. Getting the same code is highly unlikely, but you can always check the tag on the receiver and hand control.
Potential Issue: IF KTA14126 will not winch in or out after activating the sender but handheld remote works, test the KTA14126 in another winch if available. If working fine in other winch then possibly the Short Wire Harness (KWR17036) is not making connection to the 12-volt power under the black cover on top of the winch. The wireless receiver MUST have 12-volts to power and wakeup the receiver antenna to hear the signals coming from the wireless Orange Hand Bobs.
The issue is one of the below, because the “Wired” plug-in controller does work, and the Wireless Receiver will work on another winch.
- The Short Wire Harness has a broken RED wire connection in the plug, not getting the 12-volts to the receiver. Replace KWT17036 Short Wire Harness
- The RED wire is loose or not longer connected to the 12-volt power post on the solenoid. Reattach.
